As a Therapist or Marriage Educator this couples workshop offers you a unique and powerful experience, so you can:

  • Step out of the therapist or educator role and unlock essential wisdom to become the true you in your relationship.
  • Deepen your relationship while you and your partner learn more about EFT (no more trying to explain it).
  • Have fun with other
therapist/non-therapist couples as you get to the heart of the matter (a uniquely supportive environment for both partners)
  • Walk in your clients’ shoes. Engage in a parallel growth process.
  • Learn, experientially, how to offer Hold Me Tight® workshops.

Learn with this experienced EFT Trainer. Becca regularly facilitates Hold Me Tight couples workshops, nationally and internationally, and teaches other therapists how to successfully facilitate them too. In 2013 she, with Susan Johnson, presented the streaming seminar:

About Hold Me Tight® Couples Workshop

Happy young smiling couple on the summer meadow outdoors

Hold Me Tight Couples Workshop is based on the research and practices of Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples (EFT).

Hold Me Tight® Couples Workshop is an educational workshop designed to help you build your relationship, protect your investment in each other, strengthen your connection so you feel important, valued and have a Lifetime of Love.

The Hold Me Tight® program for couples was developed by Dr. Sue Johnson, award winning founder of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and author of the book Hold Me Tight: Seven Conversations for a Lifetime of Love, and recently released Love Sense.

This Couples Workshop is facilitated by

Dr. Rebecca Jorgensen

She creates and offers a safe and supportive opportunity to help you deepen your understanding of yourself and your partner, learn to communicate
meaningfully, solve the biggest problem you face together and deepen your closeness.
No matter the stage of your relationship, married or not, the Hold Me Tight© couples workshop can help you create a more loving bond with your partner.
This couples workshop will introduce you to the new science of love, how the design of the human brain impacts your relationship and how to use what often works against you to your advantage. In addition to learning the science of love, you will to understand the logic of emotion and how to use it effectively to connect and support each other so you can stop worrying about if you’re going to stay together or not. This is designed to help you feel secure being together.
While sharing comments and questions in the large group is usually fun and beneficial, you only share if you want to. You will have lots of time to have conversations with just you and your partner so you can feel comfortable and maintain your privacy.
All couples are welcome in this couples workshop regardless of marital status, age, faith or sexual orientation.
This is and educational workshop and supports therapy nicely but does not replace it if your relationship is in high distress.

Comments from recent Hold Me Tight© participants:

“What a meaningful weekend my husband and I spent experiencing EFT as “clients”…The entire experience was top notch in every way. It was especially nice having the opportunity to bond with other therapists and their spouses…It was well worth the expense and
time to fly cross country to participate in this wonderful EFT weekend.”
Virginia Boney, Therapist in Jacksonville, FL

“Char and I are still basking in the glow of our Hold Me Tight® workshop and want to thank you so much for your help. We had a great relationship before coming but it’s even GREATER now.” Will Nuessle, Therapist in Ashland, OR

“Thanks again for such a fantastic HMT workshop. The weekend sparked a greater connection for Steve and I.
I am really looking forward to start doing my own Hold Me Tight® workshops soon!”
Aida Baker, Therapist in Grass Valley, CA

“Thank you, Becca, so much, for your generous sharing. All this is really fantastic! And — thank you, too, for an amazing experience in Oakland. Ken and I are still basking in the eft-kindled glow….” Valerie Crawford, Therapist

“Thank you so much for a wonderful experience in the HMT workshop. As a result of the workshop, [my husband] has opened up, stayed connected when I trigger him (I had to laugh because he actually uses the word now!) and is also open to therapy as a means to explore and build a closer connection. Wow, couldn’t have asked for more.”
Kris Olivas, Therapist in Encinitas, CA

“I must tell you that for us, the workshop far exceeded whatever expectations we brought to it. It was transformative beyond our wildest dreams. The gentle but systematic structure of the workshop really supported our breaking through into a whole new level of understanding, trust and sustained connection. We’re celebrating our 25th anniversary…but we’re going around feeling like
newlyweds…Our hearts are just humming with that sense of joyous harmony..I didn’t know I still had it in me!”
Sandy Lillie, Therapist in Redwood City, CA

Thanks so much for a fabulous weekend! I am very excited about what we learned as a couple and how I can use this experience to be both a better EFT therapist and to run an HMT group
here in Minneapolis
